TRF again

Well, I've 'dipped my toe' in the Three Rivers Festival activities.  A friend convinced me that we should really visit the 'art in the park' areas of the festival, which are within easy walking distance of my place.  We got around the visitor parking ban in my lot by leaving her car at the church after service this morning.  In case you didn't notice, it was pretty hot out today.  We wandered around admiring the chalk drawings (many of which got washed away in the big rain last night).  We got to watch artists busily redoing their creations.  We also browsed among the artists' booths.  I saw a gorgeous silver necklace but I resisted.  The $125 price tag helped me stiffen my resolve.  True confession - we did slip into the bakery on Main Street and enjoyed a light lunch in blissful airconditioning.  Now that's the way to enjoy the festival.  Tomorrow, my brother wants to visit Junk Food Alley.  I will admit some special lemonade does sound good.
