This year I have apples.
Late year my wonderful old apple tree, which, by the way is very organic since it's never been sprayed, had absolutely no apples. After the bumper crop the year before this was quite a shock. The year before my grandkids and I made two large batches of apple butter. I suspect that last year's lack of apples had something to do with the really terrible winter. Earlier this spring the tree had absolutely beautiful blossoms, and happily, there are lots of little green apples on it now. It looks like well be making apple butter (unless of course the house sells before the apples are ripe). Pretty sure I want the house to sell more than I want to make apple butter, but maybe I could offer a year's supply of apple butter to anyone who buys the house.
