festival season

Last weekend I enjoyed Arab Fest and this evening I went to Germanfest, Very good, interesting food and music at each event but I must admit, because of my ancestry, I feel more at home at Germanfest. I had my beer of the year this evening, enjoyed the music and congenial time with friends. Of course the bratwurst with sauerkraut was also yummy. Beer or no beer I did not dance on the tables or anywhere else for that matter. Living downtown is working out as I had hoped.  Many of these festivals had sounded appealing to me over the years but I was reluctant to drive downtown and search for a parking space. Now I can just walk where I want to go. So, on Saturday I'll be going to the Wiener Dog Races. How exciting is that?
