the teeth are fine but the gums have to go

My visit to the dentist today reminded me of that old joke. I was their to have some sensitivity in the area of one tooth taken care of. I assumed that it would involve capping or filling a tooth or something like that but not so. The whole process involved putting something new (at least to my dentist), an antibacterial agent, in the "pockets" of my gums. Who knew my gums had pockets? Anyway, it was a quick and easy process and we'll know in four weeks if it's working. Stay tuned.
