life on the river

I figured out today that the river that runs past my apartment is the St. Mary's.  I figured this out when I drove across the bridge I can see from my balcony and saw the sign that said St. Mary's River.  So far, in my sporadic observations of the river (I tend to stroll out on my balcony about six times a day) I have seen three pontoon boats, one kayak and one canoe.  Also four ducks. I'm obviously living in the fast lane now.
